Famagusta Tennis Club in cooperation with a Mr. Alexey Ishchenko organized on Sunday 14th May its First International Amateur Tennis Friendship Tournament of Cyprus against Russia. The two teams consisted of 8 pairs per side which competed against each other! The Tournament started at 10.00am and ended around 2.00pm followed by cocktail lunch and drinks for all the participants. All the players were given nice and memorable gifts as well as medals! The winning country for this very first tournament was Russia which was awarded a large and beautiful trophy with the Cyprus and Russian Flags as well the Famagusta Tennis Club logo engraved on the base of the trophy! From now on this trophy will permanently be displayed at the Club's premises and each year will be added the winning country! The Famagusta Tennis Club Committee thanks all the participants and especially Mr. Alexey Ishchenko for his initiative and congratulates the Russian Team for their win!
